Eater and CultureMap do a fine job of finding gems. Austin Chronicle and Do512 sometimes have good info.
La Tunita 512 has the best birria tacos and mulitas. Check them out, located on Burleson Rd.

Surprisingly, I have had really good fish tacos at Cheesecake Factory and Hyde Park Bar & Grill.
Blacks barbecue on Guadeloupe st by campus is incredible. I know its not tacos but still good. Amaya's Taco village at 5804 N I35 is excellent
amayas was closed again for covid last Sunday, check before you go. I love that place!!

Hotswords in NW Austin (near Braker, 183) is absolutely amazing Mediterranean from a food truck. Absolutely check this place out.
I can’t believe someone has not mentioned this place. Great food and live open air music right next door.
