I sad the CL ad below and after checking out her website and reading her review I wanted to see her but her site said new clients needed to go through CC Bill and pay $2.97 for screening.

http://gulfport.craigslist.org/ers/1088074847.html

I sent an email to CL email address to ask if another form ID verification (like P411) would work and I immediately got an email back from Sara Sims at sexysexysara84@yahoo.com saying it wouldn't work but she understood if I didn't feel comfortable doing it her way, but that she didn't make exceptions. I've used CC Bill before, so I figured under $3 is no big deal and I'm only thinking of the fun afterward, so I go ahead and email her to say I'll run the verification and she emails back telling me to call at 315 702-9696 when everything is complete.

After processing it says you're now approved for the 3 day intro package to USAEscortService.com but it links to hard69.com, which apparently is a porn site with lots of videos. Thankfully, I was paying attention while signing up to notice that it said it would autobill after 3 days for $48 monthly until cancelled (ouch) and put a notice on my calender to cancel after two days.

At any rate I call the number and get an immediate recording saying to leave a message and she'll call back, which I do. We after about 20 calls/emails during the next 2 days, I'm figuring this must be a scam designed to get people to sign up for the porn site and then forget to cancel until they get in at least one of those $48 auto charges. It's been 5 days now and no response from her, so I say SCAM.
Looking back at the review and there was only one - it was from a client who had done no other reviews, so likely fake.

Beware, I'm guessing she hits one area and then goes somewhere else with the same game.

imho, if you ever want to try these things, best to use a toss-away CC on which you have only 10 bucks eve loaded at one time ... that way you can pay the minimal fee and see what all is there. And not suffer the consequences and hassle of trying to cancel a much larger lug. Only problem usually is those cheap CCs have a 2.99 monthly charge no matter how much or how little you use them.

Sounds like a scam to me too. She also looks like one of those TGTBT ads. Personally I'd have to pass no matter how nice she looks. Just my .02 ;)

That's definitely what I should've done - it crossed my mind but since I'd used CC Bill once before I took the chance. Also, I followed up & cancelled the subscription and received confirmation so I'm back to square one and only out $3 (plus the aggravation).

Coulda shoulda woulda.

Keep an eye on your CC statements (if you've got web access to your account activity, check ever day or two), or if you're really paranoid you might want to just tell your card issuer to cancel that card and issue you a new one.

FWIW, IME CC Bill has always been a legit operation, has always canceled whenever I told them to, and never continues charging after the cancellation. In fact, once when I fat fingered the email address I'd registered for one site from, the CS rep from CC Bill worked above and beyond the call of duty to help me track down that errant subscription and cancel it. So I wouldn't lose any sleep; I don't think they're going to sell your info to Russian mobsters...

:)

Cheers,

Thanks - I hate when them damn russian mobsters come knocking on my door. I just seem to like learning my lessons the hard way. I've seen a lot of providers where I gave there 1st review so I assumed one was a good sign of legit. I forget how many scammers and frauds are out there.

I recently started using a reloadable card. I use it for any purchase I have an uneasy feeling about, like overseas purchases. I keep only a small balance available on it and only reload it when I need to and immediately use most of what I load. For the $3.00 a month I sleep much better. :D
