They were married for 25 years and amazon was founded 25 years ago so most of his earnings were made during their marriage so she still would have come away with about the same amount.

OMG... Why didn't he get a prenup agreement before marriage ????
I feel bad for him. He worked hard for the money...not her. Makes no sense to me. Marriage is about love & shouldn't be about the money unless she is pregnant with his baby & can't work.
