I spoke personally with a few different admin. None and I repeat none of them. Even if the agreed with me. Had enough balls. To tell the almighty he was wrong.

The ONLY thing they were good at. Was saying, yes sir.

Granted...everyone on staff there. Served for free, and at the pleasure of St.C. but that's no excuse, to just say


That's the way it is. And always has been. Which is the standard form letter response. I more than likely, will never be on staff there again. So what the hell. There it is.

They would not or could not, control. Over jealous mods. Let mods get away with being absent from there duties, for months at a time. Both male and female. Then just bitch because, one mod was behind covering 9 different states.

So yea.....it boils down to admin. Doing absofuckinglutlly the minimum. To keep the almighty off their 4th point of contact.

Very interesting insights there Searcher. I was once a mod on a gamer board nearly 20 years ago, and talk about a punishing job.

I to was a staff member until I had to step away. My start in SHMB staff was ASPD. I started in the outer edges there, but learned a lot. In some ways I taught by those you speak ill of, I find it uhm,, completely untrue. I've been an administrator on two different sites and I know what their duties were. I also know what the duties of a mod are. First and foremost and staff position is a thankless job. Still it's what we signed up for. Some better than others and some get the opportunity to get into the spot they shine in.

While I may not agreed with all of St. C's decisions and choices as to how he ran HIS site, the bottom line staff or not we were just guests in his house. His administrative staff were seasoned and some were personal friends of mine. You don't get to be an administrator unless you know what your doing, you don't stay unless you can handle the job and carry a huge weight and be able stay objectionable knowing the rules and guidelines set before you.

Even you took a few unfounded swipes at me. You thought you knew, but we're wrong. Had you been right, I would have been raked over the coals and/or removed from staff.

Every sites dynamics are different and fluctuate with staff changes along with the increase and decrease of members. Sites are in a constant state of change and flux.
