So I'm gonna look into ordering a used engine and go from there. The plan is to be riding one by next spring. You know I like to ride Doc, I'll have to take you up on that ride next time I come out to Austin or Houston and you're around.
My advice is to stay away from a non-running bike and buy a running, fuel injected bike. The 93 will be a carburetor bike. With this crap ethanol fuel we get these days, in a month, the carb will be varnished up if you don't ride it often. What you will spend getting a used engine (lord knows what condition it will be in) plus labor to install, you can avoid the hassle and guess work and will be money ahead getting a much newer bike that runs! That's my $0.02 worth.
