    Any gamblers out there?

I find myself wanting to place a wager.
With air fares what they are, I really don't feel like going all the way to Vegas.
It would appear that Texas has exactly one legal casino, in Eagle Pass...

run by the Kickapoo Indians on their reservation. Has anyone ever been there?
If so, what was your experience?

Being so close to Mexico (Piedras Negras), I wonder about safety issues. I hear border towns aren't what they used to be. Should I be concerned?

    TIA,

    gfe

Or you could go to the Inn of the Mountain Gods outside Ruidoso, NM. Reasonably decent casino...
About a 9.5 hour drive from Austin. We go on a regular basis; granted, we have a place there but especially as it gets warmer, the 70 degree weather, in addition to being beautiful there, makes the drive worthwhile!
