They were married for 25 years and amazon was founded 25 years ago so most of his earnings were made during their marriage so she still would have come away with about the same amount.
In marriage one could argue that "love" has value congruent to at least half of all assets once the marriage is dissolved if only one marital partner works. Apparently, that is exactly what she did and a civil court judge agreed. So exactly what do YOU mean by love? Nevermind!
