Question:

When trying to log in to this site while using a VPN, I'm directed to a page that tells me my IP is banned by admin. I've tried a couple different VPNs and also cleared cookies and all that stuff; and, I've had the same issue with multiple devices. . . . I'm usually always on a VPN except when watching Netflix or Hulu; so, are VPNs not allowed or am I just having some weird problem with this site?

I don't really like not using a VPN . . . I may get dingy and forget to re-connect . . .

Some civvie websites ban IP addresses from known VPNs since they like to know more information about their users.

If your VPN has multiple servers, maybe try switching to another server and see if the site likes it better?

A VPN (short for Virtual Private Network) is basically a way to hide where you're going on the internet.

Essentially, you are funneling all your traffic through a VPN server located elsewhere and anyone who's looking at your internet traffic (ie, your ISP looking for your information to sell) just sees all your traffic going to the VPN instead of the actual sites you are going to.

Yeah, maybe it just doesn't like your VPN's servers? I'm using one too and haven't had any major issues yet - just small sporadic ones that I think are more related to the ourhome2 server trying to handle the extra traffic.
