    It is FINALLY hsppening!!

    I am just so excited. I just got out of my doctor's appt to clear me for surgery. I have cataract removal surgery this coming Tuesday!!! About a month later they will do the right eye. I have not seen well enough to drive in 4 years now. At this point, I am pretty much blind, living in a world of white fog and living by memory. I feel very blessed. I did not know what forum to post under, I was just really really excited and just HAD to share my excellent news. Thanks for taking time to read!

    Cataracts can strike people of all ages, although the risk increases greatly after 60. A younger relative of mine (40) had the surgery and came through swimmingly, and is now highly appreciative of life's beauty.
