Seems anytime someone expresses an opinion that might hurt someone's feelings a thread gets shut down.
Maybe let some threads drift a little, give them a bit of time to reach a natural conclusion and there might be a little less bellyaching. Seems like most of the bellyaching is over heavy handed moderation anyway so if that's burdensome then might be time for revisiting the definition of moderation.
I'm not sure where that's so burdensome unless it is just causing anxiety for snowflakes but if it is perhaps the ones it's causing that much anxiety for don't need to be put in a position of having to deal with it.

Anyway, Respect is earned, might want to check the respect some of your mods are giving members. Seems what little bit of authority they have went straight to their heads. It's your board though. You obviously know what you want out of it.

Must be UPS... They have gotten really bad in the last year or so. Their on demand pickups have drivers criss crossing paths all day long and they miss my PAID regular scheduled pick up at least once a week. My deliveries show up anytime between 8:30am and 4:00pm. Might be one of 4 or 5 drivers. Used to be you could set you watch by the UPS driver and you knew him by name. Not anymore.

True, up to the point at which it now has been shuttered since both the OP and her target have had their say and adding more voices and opinions to that particular thread just adds more vitriol but no actual facts, imo.

I'm not sure if we are in agreement but the second statement is exactly why I advocate letting threads drift or even linger a bit.

There is an incredible amount of useful information in that thread to me as a hobbyist and I would think also to providers.
As a hobbyist who might be venturing to Austin in the near future BL had me intrigued with what seemed to be an intelligent post. However, it then became appararent that she tends to ramble a bit which isn't as sexy as it first appeared. Nothing wrong with rambling exactly. Hell, I've been known to ramble myself but it did raise a flag. Now, however, it appears she made a leap into the BSC world, backed it up a point by point repudiation of everything that was said and has written herself right off of my radar screen.

I appreciate the more moderate moderation.
