    Sailing to Australia

It's 4 AM here in Auckland and I just picked up Jane and her luggage, LOL she brought 4 bags, I asked her how many bikinis did you bring? She said O 3 of them are empty! I wanted room for the swag you're gonna buy me in Singapore and in every port we encounter. LMAO

Jane is knocked out in my cabin so I am in the main saloon at the nav station entering this. My crew has taken in lines and is getting us out of the Marina. This marina is fairly small and it is very tense and stressful for me to watch as my Captain maneuvers us out so I stay below and am going to help with breakfast at 0600-mostly my help will be setting the table and eating BACON!

This leg to Sydney is about 1200 Nautical miles and the wind is only going to be in our favor for about 2/3 of the trip so I anticipate that we will take 6-8 days to get to Sydney, hopefully well travel 200+ Nautical miles every 24 hours but maybe more or less.Jane had requested that we travel to Hawaii but I see SIX storms on the weather map in the Northern hemisphere so I told Jane that we would not be traveling to Hawaii till later in December if then. I didn't have Hawaii on my list but I will be happy to take Jane there but not while there are storms.

Sitting at the nav station I see that Hawaii is 4100+ nautical miles from Brisbane and worse than that from Hawaii to Singapore is just under 6,000 Nm. The trip from Hawaii would be almost 32+ days to Singapore and I doubt that she will want to do that because it's too long between shopping trips and hopefully many, many many BBBJ"s.

I felt us bump into something just now but managed to stay below because I don't want to bug the crew. One of the deck hands just came down and said we nudged a piling but no damage so I guess I'll live. This marina is built with boats less than 50' in length and we are 75 so it's a toughie getting in and out. The marina people are helping out by pushing us with their tender on the tight turns-on more of those and we'll be on our way! Jane just came in dressed in almost nothing asking what is going on, Jr told me please let ME answer that! Yes I do hear voices in my little brain. Well it's hard as hell to keyboard as it is but with Jane kissing my neck and giving Jr a massage I MUST CLOSE!

Not sure exactly what time it is here, we will cross 2 time zones on this trip, it's 1549 Zulu and that is the time we use for scheduling watches, but near midnight here and Jane and I just got off the helm watch. I know she is still tired from her trip from Texas but she likes staying up with me when I have the helm. We left Auckland 70 hours back and have traversed just less than 900 mn but the wind shifted last night so we are now heading into the wind and our progress is slowed by the fact that we have to tack. Saw 2 ships on my watch on the radar but we never got close to either one. I have AIS but not sure that the big boys pay much attention to us little craft.

The late helm watches are 2 hours while the daytime watches are 3 hours. We do it that way so it is easier to stay awake during the boring night time watches. My watch is anything but boring with Jane "helping". We use the auto pilot when not tacking and if there is no body around JR generally gets a nice BBBJTCIMNQNS. Lane is a horny lady and a fantastic lover. I am a lucky guy........... Now to bed

Sailing into Sydney harbor after a rough passage....Jane is ready for some Land! LOL It's just past midnight Friday here. I hate going into a new place at night, fortunately my Captain has been here several times so as usual no worries with him at the helm. Jane and I are handling lines near the bow (where we can do the least damage-LMAO)

We can just see the famous Opera House and bridge but will be moored in a little bay some distance from the bridge on our left as we sail down the Harbor. I have a suite at The Establishment Hotel for a few days and as I mentioned Jane is more than ready for some terraFIRMA LOL. We saw some 7 meter swells for a couple days and were sailing right into them which is not a fun way to sail. For only the 3rd time in a year of sailing we had to close the companion way hatch because water was getting into the guest cockpit. I moved my 2 deck hands and the Captain into two of the guest cabins to sleep because it was nearly impossible to even stay in their beds near the bow with the boat being bounced around by the ocean. Believe me we all know that mother nature is in Charge! We're going to rest today because none of us got much sleep for the last 48 hours.Jane & I check in at 11 so we'll eat on board my boat then take the tender ashore, rent a car and drive around the city. I have arranged a menage a trios with a beautiful girl for tomorrow evening and Jane is excited about the prospect-as am I. https://static-media.scarletblue.com...764e201282.jpg
https://static-media.scarletblue.com...764e201282.jpg and you can see why. https://static-media.scarletblue.com...764e201282.jpg I guess I found the most expensive agency (but diffidently not on purpose!) but their line up is pretty fantastic....https://scarletblue.com.au/escorts/n...h-wales/sydney

We will visit museums, THE bridge and Opera house and find some nice restaurants the rest of today, after our nap.

Well I am excited! the broker who I hired to sell my yacht has come up with a Jaguar 1991 XJR-15 AND a Jaguar 220 (1994) for sale I have had one or the other on my list to buy for 2 years with a different broker, so now I must decide because I don't want both even though they are completely different cars.

The XJR-15 is one of only about 55 produced and the one he found is a street model which is very rare as most were racing models-not for the street. It will need extensive "refreshing" as it has been setting up for 25 years+ It has 19,500 miles, and is a model that is prior to Jaguar making their cars as reliable as they are now. It would need a body off restoration including tearing the engine down and rebuilding it, new interior, new paint, upgraded electronic ignition original wheels would need to be tracked down. This is all stuff I would not mind doing but it would entail getting it to England and having Jaguar "refresh" it and that could take as much as 2 years.

The 220 on the other hand is a much more reliable model with 9300 miles on it, the body is excellent and the paint is OK but old and showing signs of needing to be repainted. The engine is a dual turbo charged 3.5Liter V6 that develops 540HP, with a 5 speed tranny, it is mid engine and has been driven recently after some restoration. This model is super wide 7'6" and very aerodynamic especially for a 90's model car. It was the fastest production car in the world for several years till MaClaren produced the F1. I am told that Jaguar made about 1500 of them and it is capable of 220+ mph which fits my insane love for acceleration and speed. LOL So I think I have just talked myself into buying the 220. On top of everything else the 220 is in England which makes it more readily available than the other one which is in Russia.

The other good news is the Australian buyer has agreed to my terms (price) after trying to low ball me. His initial offer was an insult and I told him so, he has come around after several conversations and I have agreed to drop my price by the 10,000 BP that it would cost me to get my new yacht to Panama.
I have invited him to sail with us to Melbourne where he lives to get an understanding of how it handles. He was aboard this morning and told me he is excited and impressed. We sail to Melbourne in 7 days and he and his wife (?) will sail along. He has already said that he'd like to take possession by October 10th so it might happen. I will then fly Jane, Mt crew and myself to Europe. My crew to Switzerland and Jane and I to London then after seeing the new yacht in Southampton we will fly to Spain. That way I will get to drive my new Jag 220 and spend some time with my family who will visit with me in Andorra. IF the new boat is ready by December 1, which it is promised to be, My crew with 3 new crew members will sail around the Med for a week or so to check it out then head down the coast of Africa, stopping in Capetown and then on across the Indian ocean and to Singapore. Crossing the Indian Ocean west to East is not the most desirable way to cross it because of the prevailing winds but that is something my Captain says he is fine with so I am too.
