So my sister has told me that my mom died today. Long story sort shes a pill popping alcoholic that is batshit crazy and has gone to such extreme lengths to make people believe her lies, that she got a tattoo saying rip my angels for twins she wasnt ever pregnant with. So i dont know if shes telling the truth. I called the morgue and nothing came up but my sister said (before she cussed me out)that shes in a nursing home, and according to the lady at the morgue nursing homes dont report to the city they have their own dr to sign the death certificates. I have no idea if shes even in a nursing home, much less which one. My question is does anyone know what else i can do besides waiting to find her records online and what not?

if you know what city she was in, call the coroner's office.. other than that, I'm stuck on any solution.

Good idea Chung.... A death certificate will have to be issued no matter what.... check with the coroner's office.

Check with social security, they would have to be notified about deaths. Sorry to here that if its true. Just lost my mom May 23rd and my Dad on june 4th.

So sorry to hear that...my brother has terminal brain cance with two weeks left to live..so I feel ya!
I hope you find out the truth...no matter what kind of person your mom is,she is still your mom..she choose to have you instead of not..so make ammends and give her your live..if not for her but for your peice of mind

I’m sorry to hear that you do not have a closer relationship with your mother so that you’re not relying on your sister for information. Do you have an aunt or uncle, grandparent or cousin you could contact for information??
