❄️🥶 Winter/Fall edition: Pick your poison?

Cheers to the freaking weekend everyone! My lasts posts got me thinking what is your go to poison? At home or at a bar or club. I prefer dive bars myself for justs lounging and shooting pool, I can definitely turn up at a club with my girls as well.

Favorite Beer? Ultra,Dos XX or angry orchard

Craft beer? I really love a bourbon barrel milk stout my go to is dragon's blood, it'll keep you warm.

Simple cocktail? You can't go wrong with a makers mark and diet coke or a vodka cranberry.

Fancy cocktail? Mocha Espresso martini

Red Wine? I can do red wine with food like a syrah red blend like Educated Guess, with a charcuterie board or something sweet. I like sweet dessert wine like Roscato.

White wine? I'm not a fan of dry I like sweet so my go to cheap bottle is Cupcake brand Moscato or Castella Del Poggio Moscato as well.

Shot? Silver tequila chilled and dressed. Has to be silver!

Nowadays I like to keep it simple. I don't go to bars much anymore because many closed down. So I "self medicate" at home and Netflix and chill lol. But I would say:
Fave Beer - Shiner / Modelo
Craft Beer - Blood & Honey
Simple & Fancy cocktail - anything with Bourbon. I typically just make a homemade Old Fashioned
Red Wine - i'm a Chianti kinda guy
don't do white wines or shots.

Beer - Cannoneer by Pegasus (amber beer)
Cocktail - Irish whiskey with a big ass ice cube
White wine - Full bodied Chard (Think KJ or Hess green label)
Red wine - Whatever someone else is buying.

Craft beer? Blood & Honey
Simple cocktail? Wild Turkey 101 neat
Fancy cocktail? Vodka Martini extra olives
Red Wine? Prisoner but Amerone is always on the list but just too damn expensive
White wine? Conundrum
Shot? Clase Azule dressed or just sip on ice

My go to is a Mexican resturant and bar They have a Mexican martini there that is soooo good. It's purple and sweet. I'm trying to get the recipe. But no luck so far.
My favorite - Patron Silver. I just realized that's all I drink!!

I am a margarita guy. Nothing else. I make my own based on the Chuys grandmas rockin Rita recipe.

Fancy cocktail? Spicy Mexican Martini (with Gin)
Red Wine? The Prisoner (red blend)
White wine? Riesling
Shot? Lemon Drop

Craft beer : agree with your dragons blood
Simple cocktail: old fashioned "bullet rye"
Red wine: dry cab
White wine: not really
Shot: not a shot guy however Eagle rare bourbon on rocks or neat

I hardly drink any more. I used to be a traditional martini guy, but haven’t been in the mood for one in ages. Gin & tonics on occasion, or a single malt neat in the winter months. Not a huge beer guy, either, but sometimes will pop the top on a Revolver Blood & Honey when I have the grill or smoker going.

Craft Beer: Can't say I have a favorite specific craft beer but 3 Nations is my favorite local brewery
Cocktails: don't typically order them at all but maybe an old fashioned?
Red Wine: Any Grenache or the Messina Hoff Tempranillo
White Wine: don't care for these much but will drink a Reisling sometimes
Shots: I probably do more Fireball shots than anything but given the choice it would be Jaeger

Favorite Beer : Spaten Oktoberfest

Craft beer : Drop Top Amber

Simple cocktail : WhistlePig Rye whiskey (sometimes neat sometimes over ice)

Fancy cocktail : Gin and tonic with lime / Caipirinha during summer times.

Red Wine : Stags Leap and Joseph Phelps Pinot Noir and Merlot.

White wine : Absolutely hate white wines including champagnes.

Shot : Haven't done any since college.
