The only time I’ve played a video game is in an arcade and I never had many quarters. Oh! There is a centipede game at one of the Juicelands. If I go there I play it for the time it takes for my smoothie to be made.

China is imploding. Aging population and the male to female ratio is unbalanced. The young people there have a lot of mental health problems because having a family is unlikely, so they bury themselves in video games. China is scrambling to keep its work force in production. You can bet that they are lying about covid death numbers. This mandate is simply about getting young people to work.

Another step in the same direction -- The Chinese government is saying that it is going to "slow down" (although some sources have said "suspend") approvals of new online game releases after a meeting with the biggest games publishers in China.
