Freaking storm is projected to come ashore in my backyard. So we hauled ass.
Took me 13 hours to get to Houston. Usually only takes about 5-1/2. Traffic was a bitch on I-10.

I hope and pray that they can get the power on quickly, we don't need to suffer. I am lucky to be able to afford a generator but I think we will all suffer a lot of damage. Good luck and preserve life.

I'm hearing from a friend in Assumption Parish and another friend in Houma the power may be off for up to a month? Wtf?? My friends in Houma lost 11 trees on their property. BIG trees. One fell on a mobile home on the property that was thankfully vacant and totaled it. The videos they sent me were insane.

I want to DO SOMETHING and feel so helpless because I can't get out that way. If anyone needs assistance that can be provided from here (Walmart GC, Cash App etc) inbox me. (Pleaaaaase don't drop your electronic pay links here publicly. )
