This article may be of some interest to our providers...
and probably every single other person that uses OnlyFans.

Looks like those 400/hr ladies will have to reconsider their pricing, now that the additional (but always temporary) revenue stream will dry up.
Sure there will always be other sites and alternatives, but none will ever be as popular as Onlyfans and other sites will be shadier and will charge so much more.

I honestly don’t believe that it will make a difference in the way ladies with OnlyFans accounts do their hobby business. If history has taught us anything, when it comes to SW there will always be a way, whether it is pictorial or in person.

Great news a baby step in the right direction. Now my next wish for the genie in my coffee cup is to go get those fucking Sugar Daddy and Sugar Baby sites shut down or maybe they can bust some guys on there ( create panic) for soliciting somehow. Anywhere that there exists girls that could in theory ' be with us' or girls who are with us moonlighting and/or making money via other avenues are great places for us to see closed or modified. Shut down those arteries of revenue or at least put a dent in them....

    Fabulous news

i'm with those who think there is no big change coming

first, other sites will come along. possibly the second wave of individual escort sites which had fallen out of favor but still have value when well done.
second, may for ladies to become more artistic .. less graphic, and still attract "fans"

Onlyfans made nearly $400 million last year. That’s how much money is being left on the table. It might be a good idea to find who their competitors are and invest in them. What’s patreon’s policy on distributing adult content?

I’m of a mind this will not significantly reduce revenue

My understanding is that part of the reason if not the main reason onlyfans is blocking adult content is that investors and payment processors (aka visa, banks) have been looking into blocking them, and this is their attempt to not be cut off from the banking system. If this is the case, and i see no reason why it is not, then while others will take its place, they will run into similar issues making it more difficult (but not impossible) to conduct business on those platforms, this in turn will reduce their (the provider, artist, whatever you want to call them) revenue stream.

In the short run, I expect an influx of some of the people from onlyfans, as they work to makeup for lost income, their prices and their limits will drop. No longer able to raise thousands of dollars with a simple video, or some mundane sexting, they might have to actually provide the service they allude to and teasing, this will cause prices across to drop somewhat. Now, not all girls will do this, some will quit, some will go to strip clubs, but of the thousands of girls on only fans some will drift into being hobby providers.

This is good news for hobbyist, and not so good news for existing providers.

Many here who think alternatives will pop up, are ignoring the main reasons why Onlufans is stopping this in the first place. You think the alternatives will be able to thrive or exist for a long time in this climate? Wishful thinking for overpaid girls.

This begs the question, why is the banking industry assuming the role of morality police?

Bitcoin advocates might suggest that this is a perfect argument for a decentralized cryptocurrency; keep the banks out of transactions like this altogether. I actually wouldn't be surprised if there was an OnlyFans-like clone in the future that only accepted Bitcoin.

Wow, the public destruction campaign begins, OF is a London based company so this BBC article is going to hurt them bad.
Also LOL at the girls who advertised meet and greets on Onlyfans, this is where greed gets ya. (from the investigation in the article)

The same reason big businesses take most actions - to appease investors. When you have lobbying groups publicly saying MasterCard is helping businesses like OF support child sex trafficking, that's not good PR.

I am sure this is happening, but using bitcoin is not as easy as using your credit/debit card. Will some people do it? Yes, but vast majority will not. OF was very easy to use, for both the provider and consumer. On top of that, Bitcoin has a reputation as only being used for shady shit, weather it is buying drugs, some sort of get rich quick scheme, ransomware payments, or just down right fraud. Running your OF clone through bitcoin wont improve this reputation.
