I have found this to be a common thread with you beautiful companions - Marylin Monroe. Elton John was right.

I was a very impressionable 12 years old when I 1st saw Marylin in “Some Like It Hot”. Fantasies galore. My favorite. Then there’s the “Seven Year Itch”. Every man’s fantasy, only thing though, for some reason whenever I watch it, the Janitor In the Know Mr. Kublik makes me nervous - I wonder why. My favorite. Oh wait, then there’s “The Misfits” - her very last film - a really tough one to watch. My favorite.

Anyway I am extremely intrigued. My question to you is - what is your favorite Marylin Monroe Movie, and why?

Then also what is your favorite Marylin trait of her persona?

If any of you haven’t seen “The Misfits” I highly recommend. Warning though, it’s hard.

Her life was a Fairly Tale mixed with a Shakespearean Tragedy. She is a true example of someone who just wanted to be loved, but was taken advantage of by many. I won’t even get into the Kennedy brothers.

Joe DiMaggio was the only one who I believed truly loved and cared for her. In many ways she was her own worst enemy, seeking fame over her own happiness. I know a couple of ladies who remind me of her. Sadly, they will probably eventually have the same end. Leaving this world alone in their beds.
