Understanding ‘friend requests’

Hi my darling deviants! I have a question regarding the ‘friend’ feature here and I’m hoping one of you can set me straight. As I’ve become familiar with this site I’ve also become acquainted with some of its members - herein lies my question: are ‘friends’ similar to ‘okays’ on p411? Or, does the feature mirror that of other social media platforms, IE Facebook? I’ve been adding people like they’re selling me candy!😜 I just want to make sure I’m not inadvertently ‘okaying’ someone I’ve never actually met! Any and all information is greatly appreciated😘

I BELIEVE all it does is put their posts on your profile page. And provide you
with a way to keep a list of your hobby friends.
It does not represent your tacit endorsement of them. You are not implying that
all the male friends are necessarily recommended by you.

As I’m traveling for work between several city’s it is hard to keep up with who is who. So I’m using it as a tool to keep track of ladies that have caught my attention so I can seek future or repeat appointments.

Actually there is another benefit to being a friend of a member. Friends can view private albums created by a member that others cannot see. From a provider perspective you could control who saw your hott, hott photos by whether they are a friend or not. And yes, it does affect the activity stream on your profile page.
