I would not classify a hustler as a swindler. A swindler does things that are illegal. Hustling as in a pool hustler is not really illegal. Maybe unethical, but not illegal.

To be clear, I was not born yet either. But it was a highly awarded film and thus still popular with my parents as a kid.

Being a hustler was akin to being something of a con man. Hustling was what you did in Little League. Nowadays, a hustle is how you earn your pay...a side hustle a secondary job...can be legit or not...I am not aware of any specific intentions when it is used, but that can likely vary by setting.

I don't use the terminology. But I would have considered myself a "Hustler". I post ads, I promote my body (something I was born with), and I offer the product as advertised. But I use elbow grease if the client wants xyz because it was advertised.

So no I don't use the word often, and I definitely don't swindle at all. I do put in extra efforts to keep my clientele coming back!

I enjoyed the read from everyone and thank you. Truth is I just want to be a business woman and my body happens to be my business. I absolutely demand respect and I don't hustle anyone, but wouldn't I still be a hustler? For finding a way?

So no I don't use the word, I watch "Hustle and Flo" and the fact is, those girls are working for their income, is he "the pimp" the hustler? He takes women who are using what they are born with to make money and the overhead is nearly nothing? It's like he's selling a box of air, a fantasy or promise (to the girls) of something that isn't real.
