    Public comments:
Went in there on the way home from visiting a friend. The club looks sufficiently divey enough that I expected it to be a fun place.
I didn't know Arlington has weird stripper rules, I should have figured. Anyway, didn't stay long, no fun had.

not me.. I have never set foot in there, for the reasons you outlined.

30 years ago it was fun, if only for one day..

Wasn't that called "the slapper in the crapper" in a takeoff of Mohamed Ali's "thriller in Manilla?

Ha! never heard it called that, but funny description!

interesting footnote to the linked story.. today would have been Billy Martin's 90th birthday.. he was at Lace (now Chica's) with Mickey Mantle and Mickey Jr.

all 3 were killed by alcohol.. Martin the following year, in a car crash (probably drunk driving, I don't think his blood alcohol level was checked, since it was a single car crash), Mickey Mantle 7 years later, after a liver transplant.. Mickey jr. at age 47, basically drank himself to death.

    kind of sobering to reflect..
