So I’m driving home just before daybreak, and I notice A LOT of street walkers on the prowl. Very unusual for Houma. Even more unusual is that a lot of them were walking the main highway and not the known walker trolling routes. They made it fairly obvious what they were doing. Also, some of them looked a lot better than the usual walkers.

Could this be due to the Backpage shutdown? I’m thinking that it is. Felt bad for them actually. This whole situation blows. I’ll bet some of those women are desperate and hit the streets as a last resort..

Definitely because of the bp shutdown. People thought the new situation would get people off the streets. Ha! Hopefully, the female homicide rate does not increase as well.

The hobby will always be around and there will be those on the fringes that just don't have a clue. Those that want a good time without the drama will always be able to find it, and those ladies that handle their business in a professional manner will always be busy and occupied.

Yeah I've heard an increase in ladies either cruising the streets or doing more work out of their own cars or free-styling it in bars/casinos etc.
It definitely brings into perspective my privilege of not needing to do any of those options to survive.
