Eeyores Birthday party is coming up! it is my favorite Austin festival, a wild bacchanalian costume party in the park. I always go to it. what's not to like? outrageous costumes with lots of topless women in painted on costumes and loads of fun. all the food and beer sales are for charity. this is a quintessentially Austin event and I just love it. who is going this year?

Who the heck is EEoyre?? Never heard of that.
eeyore is the donkey in the winnie the pooh. in 1963 a bunch of UT graduate students in the English dept held a beer bust in the park to celebrate the birthday of the fictional donkey and have held the party every year since then. it is a spring rite of passage for local weirdos to go get wild and freaky in the park. google it. it is the epitome of keep Austin weird fun times.

Sounds like peta may be getting involved!? With drunk donkeys and all
hahaha the donkey is in a shaded pen for the kids to love on. But the costumed drunks roam free and the drum circles are incessant for about 9 hours. there are may poles. bands, costume contest, egg toss, hula hooping and it is all for charity. very uniquely Austin.
