Slow cooking is damn nice,.. but since getting an instapot I’ve found it tastes pretty close to the same in a fraction of the time.

Yes it is. I’ve had good luck with mine, but have had family members not have much luck in cooking in them. Like anything anymore, google is your friend on finding what works good in it. It’s nice to throw in some frozen chicken breasts and have them on the plate 20 minutes later.

I got an instant pot too recently, I’m still learning about it but so far I’ve fixed some good stuff. Chili, beef stew, taco soup has been good in it.

But does the instant pot do ham and beans??? Grandma wanted ham and beans the other day, so at 10am I threw them into my crock pot, 2 hrs later she so was hungry... 4 hrs later, even more hungry... by the time they were done 6hrs later, she was mad as hell! AND she was on the phone telling everyone I made her wait for 6 damn hours to get her ham and beans....
So, would an instant pot have help with this?? I really don't want the family to hate me because I made poor ole' grandma starve....I may just take her damn phone privileges away.

Yes ma’am, quick google for the recipe says 1hr to 1 1/2hrs from start to table for ham and beans.

Our friends use their instapot all the time. She just made a coconut curry chicken that was awesome.

2 hours start to finish for ham and beans in mine ST. That included cornbread.
