❤️🎄🎅 In the Christmas Spirit! What do you have cooking? 🎅🎄❄️

Trying out some new pie recipes for Christmas dinner...
***Buttermilk pie and a Seafood pie with lump crab meat, shrimp, and crawfish***
But I'm really wanting something more holiday-ish. But not the same old pumpkin, sweet potato, or pecan.
    Any suggestions?

    YUMMY, Ms. Roksana!!!

I LOVE quiches and custards, dug out my great gram's recipe for
Buttermilk Chess Pie, but went to the grocery store up here in the boonies and not a cup to be had, dang it! Making both Pecan and Lemon Meringue Tarts instead with fruit and nuts from my own trees and eggs from the neighbor. I don't mill the flour myself, extract the sugar from cane and scrape the vanilla beans, but aside from those, I pretty much bake from scratch, rolling the crust out with great gram's ancient rolling pin. Makes me smile whenever I use it.

Lemon tarts sound amazing! I don't think anyone is bringing anything lemon. I might have to add a lemon meringue.

Thanks! I used three kinds - portabello, porcini and regular button. It took a few hours to do but it was worth it.
