last one sorry just to clarify.. venmo makes the user actually log into there banking app to verify 1.their identity
and 2. make sure thats really their account...
its kinda hard to say fraud when its password protected...
Venmo also has a pin code the user sets up to protect your transactions ever transaction they will have to enter a pin number...

Thanks for the info lovelyxxxo! Cash is still King in my lil world but I'm exploring options for a longtime SD who wants to spoil me when he moves away next month and for regulars I'm comfortable with. I'm definitely going to check out venmo as a possible option.

i dont use cash app i use venmo and its policy clearly states ONCE YOU SEND IT IT CANT BE RETURNED BY VENMO .. THEY can request YOU to send them money but you are not obligated to do do so there is a decline button... venmo policy once you send it its theirs regardless if you sent by accident or not know your @id
no refunds no fraud claims PERIOD.. even if they have it in their balance or not....GOD I DO LOVE PAYPAL... (THEY ARE THE OWNERS OF VENMO)..

I wasn't bright eyed & bushy tailed yet so
I didn't catch all the details.

I'm sure as with anything some apps are safer than others, but they're all suspect to me.

Venmo was a life saver for me Friday! Found out at the ATM that my debit card was expired! And had the lovely Allison already waiting for me in the room in her school girl outfit! Sent funds before session and checked after the first pop and again before leaving that she got them. I had an issue with Cashapp that it would say sent but then return funds to me like a min later.

if the provider declines the request via Venmo, then the client will dispute with their bank
