Decriminalization producest the best sociatal outcomes in the long run in the most cost efficient manner...In my opinion. This permits governmental entities to focus their limited resources on criminal and other anti- social activities that should enjoy a higher law enforcement priority. In this way, independent contractors can operate with low start-up costs with minimal recurring expenses.

Legalization increases operating expenses especially for independent contractors not part of a legal brothel. While legalization may be profitable for governmental entities and the supporting infrastructure (brothels, security, medical, financial, advertising, etc.), but the independent contractor may incur higher operating expenses and still face criminal and civil penalties for non-compliance. Protections in law that come with legalization may not constitute a significant advantage unless a sex workers real world identity is protected.


Hence, legalization of sex work is profitable but more so for regulatory agencies, brothels and lobbyists that influence legislators to implement laws favorable to the business operations of industry leaders and major stakeholders at the expense of independent contractors.


Those providers that manage their hobby activities as a business may have already forcasted and devised contingency plans they may now consider a trade secret and competitive advantage.
