For now, I’m just asking about what Ladyj likes to do, so I might make some useful suggestions on what she can do while in Austin.

Unfortunately I cannot see her this month while she’s here. But I hope I can soon see her on one of my upcoming trips to Dallas.

You could also rent an Airbnb around some of Austin’s pools...Barton Springs, Deep Eddy, Stacy pools, Hamilton Pool.

Hamilton Pool is definitely worth the drive, although I don't know what the AirBNB action is like nearby.

Stay somewhere near Arboretum or Domain, then drive there.

You have to make reservations now to get into Hamilton Pool. I heard that they were booked through the summer. So maybe I shouldn’t have included it.

That's sad. It's the end of an era. Their website says no swimming anyway, due to high bacteria levels, which is also sad.

It’s really a beautiful place. The owners have been monitoring the bacteria levels in it for years, at least 30. They close it when bacteria levels are too high and open it when it’s safe.
