UPDATE: Fancy will be offline for a few days due to a family crisis!

Just popping in for a brief spell, and much appreciation for the well wishes! My relative had two surgeries over the weekend and is still in intensive care, but doing better than anyone expected, especially for an octogenarian. Long road to recovery ahead; I need to research extended convalescent care and physical therapy, but much more positive than arranging the funeral I feared was in the works! I am quite thankful.

I still won't be onsite much this week. May you all enjoy fine frisky fun and good health.

Update: My relative, after a mighty and valiant fight, has taken a turn for the worst, and is being moved to hospice care. Doctors are telling the family to prepare for the inevitable. I will check in as I can with H2, as puttering onsite does give me something else to think about, but please be understanding if I cannot respond to PMs or address issues as a staff member as quickly as I usually do.

At some point I may temporarily disable my PM function entirely should all of my attention be required elsewhere, and I may take time off to mourn and collect my thoughts, so thought I would let Houston members know in advance.

Following a long and brave battle put up by an amazing and stubborn person who fought the Grim Reaper kicking and screaming to the very end, hanging on and exceeding all medical expectations, my relative passed away this afternoon quietly. I will be busy for a few days with arrangements, wake, and funeral, so please don't PM me as I likely won't respond.
