Find a good moisturizer, brother. It's true that stubble and sometimes razor burns can be an unfortunate side effect of maintenance, but you just gotta make sure to moisturize the area well with a good after shave and a lotion consistently on the day of shaving and the days after.

Shaving is a good way to avoid crabs. Little buggers have no where to hang on. Read an article about it a while ago. In this industry/community that's a big plus.

When I got waxed, it was a dab of coconut oil on my whole crotch area every morning and night for like 2 weeks. Kept things moisturized and smooth, and it wasn't terrible when it grew back in.

Mosturizer, lotion, like the others said as well as deodorant and being sure to use shaving cream/gel or conditioner (good trick for when you're out of S.C. and works just as well if not better)on skin before shaving helps

I PERSONALLY LOVE MY SHAVED PUSSY 😊😊😊😊😝💋 have to say that a clean slate and a fRESH SCAPE is the best. Allows you to get sloppy and into the mood. I really do not have to worry about all the obscure Hair. THE WORST FEELING IS LOOSE HAIR in your MOUTH... OMG #SPOILER...
