Lil Update on my Situation & Cancellations

Recently I've had to cancel a few appointments for what I thought was just a flu or stomach bug.
Turns out this weekend after finally being in too much pain I had to go to the Hospital.
I was diagnosed with having kidney stones. The pain was my body trying to pass them for the last
few weeks.
I apologize to any I've had to reschedule or cancel but this is something completely out of my control.
Hopefully the last of the stones will pass in the next couple of days and I can recover.
It's definitely given me pause to consider my intake and diet as well as overall health.
Thank You to those that knew already and have wished me well. Be back and with a vengeance soon.

Ouch! Might think about adding cranberry juice to you diet as a preventative measure. Helps break up the stones and makes them easier to pass.

Ye Gods! One of my relatives is plagued with kidney stones, and the pain is horrible. First one that tried to pass laid the big, strong fellow out on the floor like a babe. Thought it was his appendix bursting! He ended up in the ER, and eventually had lithotripsy, sonic wave treatment to break up the larger, jagged-edge buggers.

He made the necessary changes to his diet (decreased oxalate-rich foods, salt, and animal protein and ditched calcium supplements; drinks water like whiskey now when used to be the other way around, chuckle), and has just experienced minor problems since.

OUCH. This can go both ways for boys and girls.

I will be sure to add more cranberry juice to my current regimen of pineapple juice, which was recommended to me by a nice receptive lady in the hobby.
