I went to some jurko.net site and they have codes for the moving gif avatars. What do I do to upload a moving avatar to my profile? Thanks.

The easiest way, would be to right click the image, save to your computer, then upload it. Then you have it even after the site deletes it.

    OR-

You could right click, and copy the URL for it. I think this board allows you to enter a url for a custom avatar. Just paste it in and should be good to go.

Due to security needs, remote URLs in avatars may not be available.

Ze's instruction on saving a gif in your computer and uploading should work just fine.

Thanks. When I downloaded the gif it showed up as a series of pics in my preview app. I didn't know if it would upload as animation or just the first frame. It uploaded and animated just fine.

    Easy peasy...

Right click and select "save as"

A window should pop up asking where you would like to save it. I always chose desktop. Easy to find and delete when I am finished with it.

Most sites frown on hotlinking to images that they host - "stealing their bandwidth". If you want to use an image that you've found on another website and you don't have (or don't want to use) your own webspace to host it, it's better to use a site like imageshack.us to host it for you rather than hotlinking to the original site without their permission.

I've always wanted to put animated things in my threads and posts too but they never work for me also. I do exactly what's been told above. I click save as, save it on my computer (as a GIF) and when I try to insert it in a post or the like, it never works. I've tried to insert it straight from my desktop and also from my picturesite (which will provide me with a link).

    It doesn't animate for me.

    So I need alternate info.

Possibly different sites require different code tags...

    As an example-

Fawn has a banner and flyer I made for her. On one site they require "[" but on another site "<" ... the code work all over is different even though similar.

Perhaps email the image to me or send me a link to something you are trying to work on, I will help how ever I can.
