Guests?!?!?!?!?

... just noticed something like 15 guests under board stats. How is that possible??? Thought everybody here had to be verified & such...

I don't know if it's the case here or not, but on another private (no "guests" allowed) board when that question was asked, it was explained that when someone clicks to the initial log in page, they show up as a guest. They haven't actually accessed the board or seen any posts, they have only gotten to the log in page. That might not be what's happening here, but thought I'd throw that out there till someone with the facts answers. :)

That&#39;s kinda what I was thinking/hoping but I&#39;d like to have that confirmed.

IF that&#39;s the case, the label for this at the bottom of the "successfully logged in" page might be changed to reflect that.

Replace "Guest" with "Turned away at the door"... or something more pithy...

Just speculating, but it could be people who registered, but haven&#39;t been validated by a moderator yet. As I understand, these registered folks don&#39;t see but a couple of forums and have VERY limited access till the mods set them up.

Good thought ezman. When I registered here and until I was verified (Hr or 2) it was that way, I was only able to view General Interest Forum, no other forums were viewable until verification. Let&#39;s hope that it&#39;s that way to keep this site private.

Just Noticed that if you click the "Last Click" button under the Board Stats where the members are shown at the bottom of the Index page you can see where the guests are at the moment. It seems that they are only able to view the Forum index and General Forum area. I suspect that this is the only areas they can view until verification.
