You have to post a compelling ad (i.e. you aren't going to cut off her head, you are well-adjusted, you are more than just your genitalia), not act needy, and you can find some decent women lurking. As you gathered, the lame "I haven't been laid in ages, please have pity on me" and "wanna fuck" ads by guys don't work very well.
