Spend 25 billion to build the wall and either Cartels or Coyote will spend far less doing this :

    US–Mexico
As of September 30, 2015, 183 illicit cross-border tunnels have been discovered in the United States since Fiscal Year 1990.[6]

On January 25, 2006, a tunnel was found on the US-Mexico border by a joint US Drug Enforcement Administration, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and US Border Patrol task force. The 2,400-foot (730 m) long tunnel runs from a warehouse near the Tijuana airport to a warehouse in San Diego. When discovered, it was devoid of people, but it did contain 2 short tons (1,800 kg) of marijuana. It was 5 feet (1.5 m) high and up to 90 feet (27 m) deep. The floor was made of cement, and the walls were exposed clay, with lights lining one side, a ventilation system to keep fresh air circulating, and a water drainage system to remove infiltrating ground water. Authorities said it was unclear how long the tunnel had been in operation.

On January 30, US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents arrested a Mexican citizen who was linked to the tunnel via the US warehouse, operated by V&F Distributors LLC. On the Friday before, January 27, immigration authorities reportedly received information that the Mexican cartel behind the operation was threatening the lives of any agents involved with the construction or occupation of the tunnel. US Customs and Immigration, however, pledged to protect them as best they could. Authorities believe Tijuana's Arellano-Felix drug syndicate, or some other well-known drug cartel, was behind the building and operation of the tunnel.[7]

On November 26, 2010, a 2,600-foot (790 m) tunnel was discovered linking Tijuana to Otay Mesa, San Diego, California.[8] In the same month another tunnel was discovered between these two cities. Both tunnels were discovered by a San Diego task force and are believed to be the work of Mexico's Sinaloa cartel. Over 40 short tons (36,000 kg) of cannabis was found and confiscated between the two.[9]

An analysis of US-Mexico smuggling tunnels, the US-Canada smuggling tunnel, and the smuggling tunnels in Rafah, Gaza Strip, was completed by Lichtenwald and Perri as part of a transnational analysis of smuggling tunnels.[10][11] Lichtenwald and Perri outlined sources and methods for evaluating which tunnels are used by different populations in various parts of the world to smuggle contraband that does not threaten a nation’s security, which tunnels that smuggle contraband that does threaten a nation’s security, and hybrid tunnels that smuggle contraband that threaten a nation’s security as well as that which does not.

In December 2012, a tunnel 3 feet in diameter and 100 yards long, with electricity and ventilation, was found near the Nogales, Arizona, port of entry.[12] Since 1990, there have been almost 170 tunnels found leading into Mexico, mostly in Arizona and California.[13] On February 14, 2014 another underground drug tunnel was discovered in Nogales.

The tunnel spanned 481 feet (147 m), or longer than 1.5 American football fields. The tunnel was being used to smuggle marijuana and other drugs into the US. Another 590 pounds (270 kg) of marijuana was seized after federal agents stopped a vehicle they saw driving away from the residence. Some 46 pounds (21 kg) of marijuana and 0.5 pounds (0.23 kg) of heroin were found inside the tunnel. Three people have been arrested in connection with the bust.[14]

So keep dreaming if you think a wall is going to stop either immigrants or drugs from entering the United States

Please tell me what your link has to do with the links I posted showing that the cartels have built tunnels to smuggle whatever they want into the U.S?
Hypothetically, do you think if the Wall gets built that the cartels are going to say: “that’s it we are done - there’s no way our drugs are getting through?”
You are turning this into a liberal vs conservative battle which I am not going in that direction. Both sides have good and bad ideas but you are obviously 100 percent conservative - I could easily post 100’s of links of falsehoods on Fox News.

However, answer the question how will a wall stop the cartels if they are smuggling items underground ?

No need to build a wall around this thread....it ain’t going anywhere.

Pointless...nobody’s going to change their minds over anyone else’s opinion.

Mr Trump, tear down walls! Reagan would be proud if you.

Latest news is the Gofundme for the wall fell way short of expectations and they will be refunding the money - it was expected that if all 63 million people who voted for Trump was to donate 80 dollars it would be enough to pay the 5 billion price tag.

Had you read the article you wouldn't have made such a false ASSumption- let me quote the article:

A crowdfunding effort for a wall at the southern border reached an impressive number, but it may have to give all that money back.

The GoFundMe campaign started by Brian Kolfage, a triple amputee Air Force veteran and motivational speaker, sought to provide $1 billion to fund President Donald Trump's border wall.

If all 63 million Americans who voted for President Trump donated, each would only have to pay $80 to reach the goal.
As of Friday, the campaign raised just over $20 million, but it's not all that Kolfage hoped for.
The campaign, GoFundMe said, was designed to be all or nothing.
"When the campaign was created, the campaign organizer specifically stated on the campaign page, 'If we don't reach our goal or come significantly close we will refund every single penny,'" GoFundMe told CNN. "He also stated on the campaign page, '100% of your donations will go to the Trump Wall. If for ANY reason we don't reach our goal we will refund your donation.'"
"That did not happen. This means all donors will receive a refund," GoFundMe told CNN.

However, the campaign page was still up early Saturday and accepting donations, and it's unclear when it will be taken down. GoFundMe said it is up to the campaign organizer to determine when it will be shut down.
With the now longest government shutdown in US history taking place over the funding of the border wall, Kolfage's campaign page said he "was tired of watching the U.S. government's inability to secure our southern border."
Kolfage said that he has determined that the federal government is not in a place to accept the money, so he intends on having a team to build a wall privately.
In place of the GoFundMe campaign, Kolfage set up a 501(c)(4) non-profit Florida Corporation named "We Build the Wall, Inc." and is asking donors to redirect their contributions to the organization.
But he will honor the refund, he said on the campaign page, if donors choose not to move to the new platform
    .
"When I created this fundraiser, I said if we did not reach our goal we will refund donors. I am honoring that commitment today. We will promptly refund your donation unless you tell us you approve our new plan for action," Kolfage said.

SO GFEJUNKIE WHERE AGAIN IS THE FAKE NEWS???? NEXT TIME READ THE ARTICLE INSTEAD OF MAKING ASSUMPTIONS PLEASE!!!!

President Trump has already conceded that the wall won't stop 100% of illegal border traffic. What it will do is enable the Border Patrol to devote more resources to filling tunnels and knocking down ladders and intercepting drug bundles launched by catapult. It will keep the majority of smugglers out (or funnel them to someplace where Border Patrol can devote more resources) and make this country safer. I don't think anyone with any credibility has suggested that it won't.

Ok two things I need to address are you under the belief that the majority of people coming here illegally are criminals? I don’t think it will make the country safer it will make it more difficult. Look at in the manner that if the government would shut down every escort site tomorrow - would it end prostitution? Hell no - it would make it harder for providers and hobbyist to schedule but there are other methods.
In terms of drugs - it surely won’t shut down the cartels in fact it probably would make them richer ? How would it make them richer? If the cartels have to build more tunnels or find other more expensive means to get their product over here that cost will be passed on to the buyer.
Also, you are aware that some drugs enter the country via boats and planes right ?

What says it all ? You and trump want to make the statement that every one that is here illegally are in Trumps words : murder’s and rapist which obviously isn’t true.
It’s quite ironic that we are having a discussion on a ***** board about what is illegal and how they should be demonized when You and I for that matter have participated in an illegal act that your illustrious President once to eradicate even though we know he has purchased “pussy”. If that’s not the pot calling the kettle black.

Just because you disagree with a law doesn't make you any less a criminal when you break it. Some just haven't been caught yet.

No disrespect to anyone who is or served in the military but it is an all volunteer military force. Firefighters, police officers, EMT’s, and doctors save lives every day so please don’t act like military men and women are the only occupation that put their lives on the line.

Trump once said that he always wanted a Purple Heart : https://www.politico.com/story/2016/...e-heart-226565

Had he not got 5 deferments and actually served perhaps he could have earned one.

For a non military person telling a military person that he always wanted a Purple Heart is disrespectful. When you earn a Purple Heart normally a severe injury comes with one.

Did you blast trump for making that statement?
