On twitter (user @eccie_net), it was posted that ECCIE has been shut down for the time being, I'm guessing primarily due to SESTA/FOSTA. Quoting: "Eccie.net has voluntarily suspended operations while all options are considered. The safety of our staff and members is always our primary concern."

twitter user eccie_net may not actually be eccie.
One of the mods has explored that (see his post on switter) and it's my understanding that the eccie_net twitter thing also had commentary last April.

I read a couple of members had been outed. There is a chance that the site was hacked or threatened. The board software may not be hard to hack. Especially by someone that is familiar with it. Then there is the possibility of legal issues from all of the unfriendly jurisdictions.
I don't think that is an official eccie account. Members are outed all the time on eccie...sad but true.
ECCIE.net is now redirecting to adultsearch.com. I would guess this is more than a server problem. FWIW I looked at the providers on adultsearch and didn't see any names I recognized.
Earlier this year, the site was redirected for a while before it resurfaced.
