Austin is not only "weird," it's the "Live Music Capital of the World," according to city slogan, chuckle. Sixth Street has many pubs, clubs, and bars.
Here's a link with the main entertainment areas:

Not sure if it's warm enough yet, but seeing the bats come out from under the Congress Street Bridge over Lady Bird Lake is awesome:

The Driskill is a good hotel. Nice and haunted!
here are a few fun places. the heart beat and life blood of our city is barton springs and zilker park, when warm check out the nude beach called hippie hollow, funky south congress for shopping, world class people watching and views on lady bird lake hike and bike trail, visit stevie ray and willie nelson statues and the state capitol. Also mount bonnell and you must go see ester's follies show on 6th street. The lady bird wild flower center will be good too.
You don't scare me, you don't scare me, I said
To whatever it was floating in the air about my bed
He knew I understand
He was the ghost of a Texas ladies' man.

Its a little early to see a lot of bats yet. Late summer is best.
Mount Bonnell is pretty cool.
The Bullock, Blanton and LBJ museums are outstanding.
Welcome to Weird!
I want to go to a haunted place with paranormal activity. James, you want to go?
Sure! I love ghosts and goblins. Come haunt me UH! :bigkiss:
I’ve stayed in the Driskill. No paranormal activity that night.
There’s probably a lot more haunted places in NOLA than Austin. I’d love to visit. Someday.
