Young woman murdered after getting in car she thought was an Uber!!

Always verify that the plate, car model and color and the driver's pic match up. There is also a place in the app that allows you to send your ride to someone so you can be tracked(if you want to).

A friend recently called an Uber, some dude showed up saying he was her driver but the model and the plate # didn't match. He said his regular car was in the shop. She told him no thanks.
I think there are predators out there who look for people that appear to be waiting for a ride. They actually aren't all that hard to spot. They are usually standing alone, phone in hand and looking toward the oncoming traffic. So, another tip is to not be quite so conspicuous.
