any seasoned members have advice for a newbie?

I tried eccie and kept getting error msgs saying I can't have multiple accounts. I have no account at all. How do I establish some connections with hobbiests? Use this site to gain some regulars? There doesn't seem to be much interest in me thus far so am I wasting my time? What steps should I take to make this work for me before throwing in the towel?

Ginger hadn't seen you latest post, didn't realize you were verified. As to what you can do pictures go along way in sparking interest. The activities you posted sound like fun and hopefully will spark some interest.
