My LinkedIn Account? My job info? Ummm What?

I just had a provider ask me for my LinkedIn page as a form of verification. My response "Ummm fuck no. Thanks but no thanks". Is this really a thing? Who's condoning this? There's a reason we're all using OH2 for this hobby and not facebook. Why would I give my livelihood to some random escort? Some providers don't even show their faces, but you want my whole identity? Whats next, my Social Security number?

I'm sorry but if youre a hobbyist that gives in to this insanity, you're an idiot. Don't be surprised if you see your face all over facebook and youre sitting in your job's HR office because you and Karen had a disagreement over a QV.

I agree completely. For all the hype around deja the doll I had to stop my screening when she asked for my linked in and other personal info, despite having reputable references.
Anonymity is key around here and all these send me a pic of yourself ladies get an instant pass from me.

No way. I did get employment verification by P411 before I had any Okays and was pretty apprehensive about that but it was handled smoothly. I don't think it is smart for a provider to go off a linkedin profile anyway. I could fake one right now... If a hobbyist is VERIFIED on here, then, one would think, they’d only ask for recent references. That’s what all this is here for or part of it. However, to each their own. If one is not verified on here, other boards or verification sites like p411, then one would think one would defer to some type of alternative screening methods like: social media, LinkedIn, selfie, DL w/ pertinent info blocked out etc.
It’s a touchy subject and I empathize with both sides, as there are some really shitty people in this world, however, privacy is a lie. Anyone can find out anything with just a few pieces of information, really. Shrug.

If everyone would just be cool & follow the golden rule these things wouldn’t be so complicated. Sigh.

no ... not the first time i've heard this, though. as said earlier, a long time ago when i joined P411 they called my employer to verify empoyment. but this info was/is not released to providers.

I deleted my LinkedIn account over five years ago. But if I hadn't, that would definitely be a very hard pass. I looked into a p411 account, but when I got to the part about providing employer contact info, I doubled over with laughter. No. Fucking. Way. Plus, I think p411 is for dudes who are going to be seeing lots of different ladies, and I'm never gonna be that guy. I'm perfectly happy with who I'm seeing now, and verification was taken care of a long time ago, obviously. (Taking worry and hassle out of the equation is very important to me! lol)

It's a give and take. If you come from a position of politeness and empathy, there could be some middle ground to be had. If you're so concerned, you could provide the info she asks for, and then ask if you could witness her deleting that info once at the appointment when trust is established. If she is that unreasonable that she denies the request, then move on. To be the devil's advocate, there might be a reason her screening is so strict. There are tons of psychos out there, and she may have had an experience with one. Or an a bad revengeful ex...etc. Think about it this way, if you don't become a regular she is probably going to see so many clients through a 6 month - 1 year period that you'll be long forgotten as long you're not a complete asshole during the session. There is risk in the hobby for everyone. Trust your gut at the end of the day.

If I'm being honest, this helps me to weed anyone looking for a qv, HH, specials or discounts, and beggars. There's nothing wrong with offering cheaper services as every provider has a system that works best for them. I happen to stay low volume, focusing on creating lasting connections with gentlemen because that's what works for me. I offer a handful of multi-hour PSE's a week and intend to keep it that way but there are plenty of providers who truly enjoy being higher volume and that is equally valid. It doesn't work out for my lifestyle or what I want out of the hobby but the beauty of this is that there's someone for everyone.

Lets be real. There are no "Lasting connections" in this hobby. You do this to make money. Like I said before; some of these guys have to get some dignity and stop the nonsense. But to each their own.
