Okay since this Strong Beer and Wine took effect, I found some cheap wine that is actually really good. Aldi has bottles for like $2.89 I shit you not!

The merlot is a bit sweeter than I'm used to, but a great all around wine. Think it might pair good with deserts. The Shiraz well probably best with steaks. IDK, not a big fan of Shirazs, but definitely not for just sipping.

The Moscato blew me away because I have never liked whites, ever. Do like a good champagne tho. Anyway, tried it two ways. Plain and with Sprite. I did NOT think this shit up, my youngest daughter did and IDK what goes through 21 yr Olds heads. Then end result was that it was good. I have to wonder if me quitting smoking has anything to do with the taste of whites now or if this is simply a one off?

I've always preferred deep full bodied reds. Giggles #CoppolaClaret is my fav... Thanks to Bird! Oh ya, the wine at Aldi is called Winking Owl

Oh my, it’s crazy how your sense of taste and smell comes back after you quit smoking. It’s how I gained 50 pounds when I quit,.. I realized how good food tasted. Lol

I was never really a steak lover, until I quit smoking and now I just love steak! EVERYTHING tasted so much better! And ice cream.... wow, that's like licking up crack!
My taste in food and drinks changed a lot when I regained my taste and smell senses full force. And yeah, haha, I had to diet a few years later to help shed those extra pounds. About time to start working on a calorie deficit again after these holidays!

Congrats Blaze on sticking to it! Maintaining is the hardest part.

Blaze I agree with you....I tried the winking owl over this summer while in Missouri I couldn't believe it came from Aldis. When are laws changed here I went right away under 3 and its sooo good ♡♡

Yes, Winking Owl (moscato) is at Aldi. I will say this, it was Xmas eve when I went to grab dome and they were out. Gent said they have a hard time keeping it on the shelves. So inconclusion, buy early and extra of Moscato if that is your preferred! I was able to grab a bottle of Merlot, they only had a few left. But at $3 a bottle, cost shouldn't hold you back.

Honestly, I'm a super smeller and really haven't noticed much of a taste Chang in foods. Now I can say my sense of taste has changed for the better with eliqs. So I guess my sense of taste has changed subtlety. Yep I've gain 50lbs too. It really sucks.

I guess i'm an oddball, I quit smoking 2 months ago and have been able to lose 20+ pounds, now the food thing I would agree everything tastes different.

Well I'm vaping 3mg of nicotine on a dual coil RDA so I don't understand the massive weight gain. I was fine with 15-20 for the first 11months. Then I went to zero nice for 4 months and it was like wildfire. As I said, I'm back on 3mg and it has stalled.
