What is the deal with providers asking for eBay gift cards. They are wanting code before you arrive. Why would anyone do that? Anybody else seen this?

I'd venture to say scam but what do I know I'm a newbie.
If they’re wanting the code before you arrive, it’s a total scam. They can claim the funds using the code and never see you. Unfortunately, people do fall for this. Most likely when thinking with the little head...
Scam.... RUN!!!

A couple of gents have mentioned this to me but very quickly realised it was a scam & ended the conversation. One gent did send the info & it was a scam. Do a little research know who your seeing before it cost someone more than money.

It's almost as if some folks are allergic to those cute little greenish dead president coupons that most of us collect and trade.
Anyway,
Any type of prepaid card that uses codes will be used for scam. I like Suzanna's abbreviated response above, short, and to the point.
