I have broken the law in my job before at the request of my employer and suffered because of it when we were caught—I was thrown under the bus instead of the owner. Did I know it was wrong; yes. Could I have quit rather than doing the deed; yes. Would I have suffered a financial setback for my principles; yes. I did what most people would: do the thing and hope for the best. Make no mistake, we are all obligated to someone, and depending on our position, may be more trapped/trafficked in our situation than others. I think she’s asking for a little empathy and restraint when you’re at the club to not ask someone to do illegal things when her livelihood is at stake. No one deserves or asks for extra risk. Life, and this hobby, are hard enough.
