have known for awhile that my father wasn’t doing well but he’s getting closer and it’s getting to me,
i’ve done everything i can for a lot of ppl and expected nothing in return, but for once i needed that.
i have had the opportunity to say goodbye and see my father and it’s now not possible as i have been burned from empty promises. i have no other means to do so. but i’d like prayers if any to help my heart heal from this. i could not forgive myself for not seeing him.. but i’m left with that to deal with.

I’m sorry for your situation. I don’t have a close relationship with my own parents, but very close to my wife’s parents. My mother in law just suffered a stroke and it really caught us off guard. She was in better shape than anybody in the family.

Between that and a recent close family to us that lost a teenage daughter to an accident, I can appreciate the emotions you are going thru.

I hope your father gets better or finds peace and comfort in his journey and you do as well. Life just doesn’t seem to get easier as we get older.

Tho we may not know why things happen just know that it is for the good of God. Trials, ups and downs are all part of our unique journey. When anyone’s time is up know that your channel of experience was a worthwhile endeavor. You will never know how you might have touched or better someone’s life. Be strong and know that it will be alright
