Puppy or Not? What is your real opinion on this?

If I get a cute puppy.. Is that a big ?NO? . If it doesn?t bark and it?s in a kennel. Clean with no odor? Will it be more of a pain in the butt? Or could it be my cute companion?

I?m a softy, so , keep that in mind with your comments. It might not be best for me. On the flip side, I would have a full time friend! lol

Please, Real opinion. I?m just playing with the idea. It?s hard to say no to that face!

Would it go with my style?I personally think she is a sexy little critter.

I don’t won’t a distraction when I’m in the bedroom….I own a 75 pound golden who is not allowed to come to work with me. He isn’t trained that well.

This is a new idea for me. Little dogs bark. Big dogs seem to be quiet. I prefer a big dog. ..or a tiny dog that conforms to my plan… any ideas?… I can’t keep a large dog trapped in my apartment. Oh, I have a very small fenced back yard. That might matter in your opinion.

Wouldn't bother me, I've met others with dogs, sometimes they can be a nuisance, but not in my experience. It's all about how the owner handles and takes care of them, trains them. You seem like a lady who handles her business, if you are conscientious, I don't know think most would have an issue with it. Now about that appointment...

First, I’m a dog person. So I’m all for being my pack’s alpha. That said, alpha has a lot of responsibilities you need to consider.
A dog’s lifespan is 10 (large dog) to 18 (small dog) years. That is how long alpha commits to.
Pack costs (vet, food, supplements) have increased faster than inflation the past few decades. For example, annual check ups are now north of $100…
Puppies. Yes, absolutely adorable. They need a lot of attention to be good pack members. Rule of thumb, take the pups age in months, add 1. That is the maximum time in hours that a puppy may be left alone. Plus you get to train together. Please train with hand signs along with voice commands, just in case the puppy loses its hearing with old age.
Space. Dogs need room to be dogs. Large breeds need more room. A mid sized adult dog can easily run a mile at 25 mph, farther at a lower speed. How much space you have limits the breed.
Working dogs. Border collies, shepherds, catahoulas, etc. working dogs need a job to be happy. If you don’t give them one, they will find their own job - and you might not like it…
Old dogs. If you’re not sure you are alpha material, you might want to rescue an old dog. Most are extremely grateful to be taken into a pack and are very affectionate.

Back to your incall question. A long long time ago, I was enjoying missionary when one of my dogs snuck up onto the bed and sniffed my ass. Yes, startling cold nose… All dogs since then have been trained to stay off the bed during playtime…

Absolutely. Just train it to go into a crate when you are "working" and not to bark.

I completely want dogs off during our special time. I would want him to just sit.. I am the alfa for my dog.. My softy gets me into trouble. I can deal and train him or her.

I?ve had dogs for to live 17 years.. I?m just worried about taking a new one on. .. lol.. No dog gets to ass sniff! They really would need to learn to be content on a kennel. I don?t need a distraction from fun sex. Can it mix?

I spoil puppies. I’d need to get it trained properly.

I?m personally a dog lover. I?ve had dogs my whole life, from small 3lb. Chihuahuas, to larger 120lb breeds. My experience: smaller dogs will always yap for a short time, then chill out. At least the ones I?ve experienced. Dogs around where I live? They bark all night and their owners could care less. It really depends on your training.

A companion I?ve frequented has a tiny one and though she barks when I first come in, she mellows out during private time.

I'm huge animal lover and miss my sweet doggie so much. He was always put away and out of site for appointments. He did bark a little in his golden years due to separation anxiety and love for people. I now have 2 rescue kitties that are my world. They are locked out of the room during any activities. My male loves people and affection if a client chooses to interact, and my little girl unfortunately is scared of her own shadow so she hides for the most part. My biggest preach as a pet parent is to just make sure if you have them at your incall is to keep everything clean..vacuum extra pet hair, pet free sheets, clean litter box.. etc.

Pets are a lot of work and can get very expensive. If you do decide on a pet I recommend pet insurance it's a small fee per month that can save you thousands in case of an emergency.

Every house should have a dog, but apuppy (as you know) is a ton of work, needs a ton of attentive and can interrupt things. But I love them.

Also remember that cute baby puppy turns into a dog, seemingly overnight.

Puppies are far from quiet and definitely not odorless but it is doable if trained properly and cleaned up as much as possible.
I have a maltese/poodle who's probably around 11 years old now. Lazy old turd who occasionally barks when folks initially walk in (small dog syndrome in an attempt to assert dominance, but harmless). Only one time has he ever just not liked the look of the guy and it took him maybe 2min to stop but otherwise his lazy ass chills on the back of the couch or goes to my kids room during sessions. He has very rarely entered my work room and it's always been when someone spanked me too hard (he doesn't do physical violence) or he hears us talking and knows it's the end of the session and he's really gotta go potty. All of that to say, I've never had any client complain. But I've heard stories of females dogs overstepping boundaries, tongues winding up licking what they shouldn't. Making things awkward obviously lol so it's certainly all about training but puppies are much harder. There will likely be a phase of whining in the kennel unless the folks you're getting from have already started kennel training.
