I'd like to get any thoughts on how to make it better. I just made it live and I'm trying to make it into a portfolio-showcase plus a place for clients to access their photos.

As you proceed through life, following your own path, birds will shit on you. Dont bother to brush it off. Getting a comedic view of your situation gives you spiritual distance. Having a sense of humor saves you.
Run Dev Tools > Lighthouse inspection on each page of your website and remediate any issues.
Via Chrome browser > open a page > open Dev Tools (F12) > select the Lighthouse tab > select Device = Desktop > select all Categories > click Analyze page load> review each category's issues and guidance.
Repeat steps above but select Device= Mobile
