I'd say Memorial area. It's not "central" like the Galleria area might be considered, but it's close enough to being 'in town' while not being too far down I-10 to be a drag-assed drive during certain times of the day.

Agreed! The Galleria does have a tendency to be a bit congested as well, but depending on which area of the galleria.

I would prob suggest the Westchase area, because, it's not too too expensive and not too far out. I don't know of any providers or fun activities on the northeast or southeast side of town. But the northwest and southwest is where the action is. Now if you're going after the high end/dollar dudes I'd say the Galleria area. Just my 2 lil cents.

Mid town.. inside the loop in the Heights area... To me Central means inside the loop.

Memorial city center is great lots of new good hotels above the PI

Sonesta suites, little hi express, courtyards.

There is also Westheimer and Kessner that Hilton there is actually kind of nice and you can get it on a day. Use rate if you go to the Hilton website and just book one day Hilton is the only one who does that directly on their website?.like 75 for 9-5 nice room! Good luck!
