In addition to "recent scams", what would you call the newcomers that post on the "welcomwagon", and no one ever hears from them? Could they be scammers testing the waters?

That would call for speculation and a lot of it Bro.

As far as trying to get your $$$ back after scammers have possession of it….LMAO. Good luck with that endeavor. You will need a lot of it! [Staff edit. M]

In naval architecture, a poop deck is a deck that forms the roof of a cabin built in the rear, or "aft", part of the superstructure of a ship.
The name originates from the French word for stern, la poupe, from Latin puppis. Thus the poop deck is technically a stern deck, which in sailing ships was usually elevated as the roof of the stern or "after" cabin, also known as the "poop cabin". On sailing ships, the helmsman would steer the craft from the quarterdeck, immediately in front of the poop deck. At the stern, the poop deck provides an elevated position ideal for observation.[SUP][URL="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poop_deck#cite_note-2"][2]

And, fwiw, the cabin immediately below the poop deck was usually reserved for the ship's captain (regardless of actual rank, quite often an intermediate rank such as a senior lieutenant or a commander.

That cabin, in a warship, often hosted additional cannon used to ward off pursuing warships. The poop deck above was also used as a firing platform.
This ^^^ however calls for no speculation. It is a spot on explanation of the aforementioned part of old sailing ships. It was a rather small area of the ship. Thank goodness so I don’t have that much to swab!
