those that know me, know I live for seeing live local music and went almost daily before covid shut us down. Well, I am happy to say live music is back in Austin and more clubs will be opening soon. Right now live music is happening at the sagebrush, Whitehorse, sam's town point, far out lounge, little longhorn, Antones, Mercer street dance hall, Gruene Hall, and a new one on east Cesar Chavez called central machine works brewery. I have heard some well-founded rumors that continental club, cboys, and skylark lounge will be opening in the next few weeks too. I am glad that everyone wears masks when not seated, the tables are spaced out and limited admittance at these places keeps us all safe. I have had covid and have my vaccines and still wear my mask and make sure to not hug my friends when we finally see each other again. I am happy to be getting out to see live music again. Over the moon that this afternoon is Jimmie Vaughn's 70th birthday party. thank goodness I live in Austin and can still have music to see. I urge you, once you feel safe, get out and support the bands, wear your masks, tip them, pay cover charges, and be grateful we live in Austin and have this part of our culture coming back. feel free to ask me about shows, clubs, and info about our music scene. I am happy to be the cultural ambassador for the Austin live music scene
