    Like for reals exercise thread

So I went to another gym location today and class instructor totally made it burn. My knee is killing me.

But right after I hobbled into sun and ski to buy a rubber for my head and googles for mine eyes. Then I decided to get my toes did. And that's when it happened. It's was like a toe-gasm of sorts. I think I have tendinitis on my Achilles tendon.

Anyway, that was the best ever foot, ankle, massage I ever had. Least it felt like it. I need a whole body massage. It's sad that the whirlpool jets give me goosebumps lol.

Hey does anybody know about VASA? Big sign says $9.99 or something like that. But a lady told that's just the base price, that they will add more fees for other gym amenities. I just need a pool, towels, and a few weights to make me happy. Kinda spoiled to amenities that my gym has though.

Hey, it's great that you are checking out different classes and the such. There truly is something for everyone, you just have to look and keep an open mind.
I just stopped my gym membership... i stopped attending classes, they just weren't for me... I prefer doing yoga alone in my living room with my TV.... and I finally purchased a barbell to add to my little "home gym" corner in the spare room. I just haven't gone to the gym in about a year now, and I have still kept up my exercise, and I can still make my abs and glutes burn from home. But, I have spent over 2yrs learning what worked for me and I tried everything more than 2xs over before I figured it out.

I left the gym and went to the vape shop. Bought a Naked single use pen that's like 50mg nic. Stopped the hunger cravings in its track! Boom

My arms are sore and my neck is on fire Ricky Bobby! Weekends totally muss up my flow.

OK so I asked at the gym today how much it would be to add on another person. It would cost more than I pay for my membership now. WTF??? Seriously. I'm grandfathered in on my rate but damn. Why they wanna charge these crazy rates then ask you pay yearly maint fees.

Are you happy now Doc? My crotch hurts from the spin bike and my left leg/foot needs to go into traction. Let your mind wrap around those images for a bit.

That's the one thing I am still needing at home, a cardio machine. Been looking at small bikes. So far, running outside has worked for me but there are days I can not run outside, which results in either not working out, or hitting the weights an extra day. I don't have much room for a treadmill so a small bike that I can push up against the wall when it's not being used is the best option. I will eventually order one from Amazon, I'm sure.

EasyE looks like she knows exactlay what she is talking about, wowzers!

ST,, I used to have a running treadmill, it died and I miss it. Running, meaning that the deck on it was longer than regular treadmills.

My advice and gawd I wish I had one at home,, is a Cybex Arc trainer w/ski arms. I don't do well on stair masters or a lot of eliptical machines <--they actually hurt my knees. For whatever reason the Arc trainers do not. I prefer the ski arms vs the other kind of arms. Once acclimated, you can do leg work and leave your arms by your side. Then dig in if you get in a rut. Price tag is approx $1,200 used. Takes up about the same space as a treadmill though because of the base.

Once you figure out the style and brand you lije, check with the stores that have used gymbequipt. They have high end and low end. Just make sure you know it's age and then compare prices. Then watch for sales.

As to me, my Achilles tendon is still being spicy with me. Haven't been to the gym in 6 days. I figure maybe I should give it another 5 days of rest. Then go buy some "tension" tape er' wat ever it's called and tape up. Have in a hard time finding solid info online how to fix it. Grr. I want to go the gym, but even changing things up kept it inflamed. Very frustrating that I want to, but cant.

So I've been successful on Atkins in the past, but not as of late. I don't get it?

Has anyone done fat fasting? If you have, what were your results and do you have any suggestions? Maybe my metabolism is just wayy fucked and I need to be drastic to super charge it? Also wondering about a Fat Fasting combo with Intermittent Fasting? I like coffee bombs, then again I love heavy cream ; )

Couple of months ago I started a Keto diet, and the results are good. It is counter intuitive, it that you are allowed to eat protein, as well as fat, encouraged even, but have to drop the carbs (and that includes the alcohol) and sugar. Can eats lots of veggies, but not those that the part you eat grows in the ground, so say goodbye to potatoes and beets and carrots.

Once you force your way thru the first couple weeks, which is brutal at first because your body is in revolt begging for sugar or those things that are quickly converted to sugar, you will adjust. Basically, you cut out the crap you know you shouldn't be eating anyway, and stick with lean proteins and lots of veggies. I find it much easier to avoid the carbs now than ever before.

I have lost about 20#'s, and my goal was 30, but I think because I still drink and eat chocolate (my only real addiction!!) those last lbs are elusive. But I love that I can still eat great tasting food and not feel I'm sacrificing too much.

Also started ridding a road bicycle several days a week for fitness which my bad knees and back are thanking me for.

Good luck and hope you find what works best for you.
