Pulling this over from the Austin page - it worked for me and I can use the link to see my PMs. All the credit goes to that monger.

OH2 is currently under repair due to recent hacker attacks. Some of the links and buttons are invisible, corrupted, or missing while the site gets fixed. ck1942 addressed it here - https://home.ourhome2.net/showthread...=1#post1570147

While the site gets back up-to-speed, let's share our "workarounds" for navigating the website. I'll list a few here.

- How to get to your Private Messages Inbox and Sent Items:
Inbox:
https://home.ourhome2.net/private.php
Sent Items:
https://home.ourhome2.net/private.php?folderid=-1

Alternatively, the link to your Private Messages Inbox is the second item on the second row, under the site header ourhome2.net - "#vbflink_pms#"

- How to get to your own profile page: click the invisible button in top right corner of screen, directly to the right of the "down" arrow (it's the 3rd invisible button from the right)

- How to log out: click the invisible button in top right corner of screen (the furthest right of the 3 buttons), OR go to URL:
https://home.ourhome2.net/login.php?do=logout

- Search within a thread or forum: click the unlabeled "down" button in top right hand corner of the thread or forum (it's the 2nd "down" button from the right, between "Thread Tools" and "Display") - type the desired search term and hit "Enter."

- Circumventing the "403 Forbidden" error requires shortening URLs by removing the thread title from the URL:
For example, if you delete the thread title from the URL of this post ("-The-OH2-Site-Workaround-thread"), and hit enter, you should still be able to reach this post. If you replicate this process on URLs that generate the "403 Forbidden" error, you should be able to bypass the error.

- Overcoming the review gremlin: https://home.ourhome2.net/showthread...l=1#post491852

- Alternative method to overcoming the review gremlin (be sure to save the body of your review in a separate text editor or notes app so it does not get lost):
1. In the appropriate review forum, click "+Create New Review" - The screen might say "Could not find phrase ."
2. Only fill in the required fields (the ones with asterisks) and NOTHING else. (The asterisks indicating required fields might be invisible at the moment. The required fields are Headline/Title, Date of Visit, Companion's Handle, and Public comments)
3. Click "Preview." Review the title carefully because you are unable to edit that later. In the public comments, I usually just put "work in progress."
4. Click "Submit", or the invisible button directly to the left of "Preview"
5. Edit the review (WITHIN 60 MINUTES FROM THE TIME OF ORIGINAL POSTING) by clicking the "Edit Post" button at the bottom right of the review (the 4th button from the right). Don't forget to fill in all the details and put "The Rest of the Story" in HIDE tags.

In case the EDIT POST button isn't there, follow the instructions for editing a post below.

- How to edit a post:
1. Obtain the unique post number from the URL of the post you want to edit. Click the post # in the top right-hand corner of the post you want to edit, then copy the unique post number from the URL address bar. into a text editor or notes app.
For example, the direct URL for this post is " https://home.ourhome2.net/showthread...=1#post1571900 "
The unique post number is the number directly after the word "#post." For example, the unique post number of this post is " 1571900 "
2. Copy the following link to a text editor or notes app (right-click or long press COPY LINK works best) - https://home.ourhome2.net/editpost.php?p=**&do=editpost
3. Replace the ** in the link with the unique post number from step 1.
4. Edit the post and then click "Submit", or the invisible button directly to the left of "Preview" (you have 60 minutes from the time of original posting to make edits).

Note: I noticed that the site moves faster during the evening and early morning. The site is slower when there's more traffic during the day. I try to access the site in the evening when it is moving faster....

That's all for now. Feel free to suggest additional workarounds in this thread. Happy hobbying!
